1) Gotcha! cameras or Gotcha! ip servers with Micro SD video recorders can now automatically playback recorded video from their LAN to a Gotcha! client on the internet.
This means that you are not required to remove the Micro SD memory card to playback recorded video.

This is the first self-networking camera that can record to the Network Attached Device and allow simple and easy remote playback automatically without having to be on the LAN. What does this mean? You can playback video recorded on the Gotcha! NAS from anywhere in the world. Its as though you were sitting right next to the recorder to playback the video! This gives you more control and saves you time and money. If your camera is in a remote location, you can playback the recorded video without having to travel to the camera or NAS.

1) Wi-Fi Protected Set up (WPS). A WPS button on this new camera will allow you to easily and securely connect to WPS supported wireless routers without entering SSID or passwords. Simple press the WPS button on the WPS wifi router and press the WPS button on the indoor wireless Gotcha! camera. The camera is automatically and securely connected to the internet with WPA wireless security.
2) A new megapixel image sensor has been included for high resolution images up to WXGA = 1280 x 800 pixels = 1,024,000 pixels compared to 307,200 pixels with VGA. This is over three times the resolution at up to 25 Images per second. We recommend using the HD setting with the HD Gotcha! camera for superior images on fast networks and high speed routers and monitors. Imagine the superior HD quality of this new megapixel sensor?
3) Both HD cameras have a built-in MicroSD memory slot for up to 16 GB of video recording. The MicroSD memory chip is user supplied.
4) h.264 CODEC (MPEG4 subpart 10): in order to handle the increase in data due to the Megapixel sensor, we have incorporated the h.264 codec so that video streaming will continue to have a high image rate as well as minimize video storage recordiing requirements. Baseline profile level 3.1 (ISO/IEC 14496-10)
5) New progressive CMOS sensor. The video has no artifacts because of interlaced video. This video artifact can be observed with rapidly moving subjects such as motor vehicles.
6) Faster Wi-fi speeds with new IEEE 802.11n 6-300Mbps high speed. It is backward compatible to IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-fi.
7) New improved color rendition- the color saturation is less, producing a more pleasing palette of colors than most cctv cameras.

The Gotcha! NAS has many uses. Each Gotcha! cam and ip module has auto set up.
Four Gotcha! camera or ip modules can record video and audio directly onto the NAS.
The NAS must be located on the same Local Area Network as the cameras.
The Gotcha! NAS is self-networking and includes powerful features for advanced users.
The Gotcha! NAS eliminates the need to have a personal computer as a storage device. Once video/audio is stored on the NAS, it must be transferred or streamed to a supported pc or smartphone for viewing. The Gotcha! NAS device is NOT a computer and does NOT have a graphics card.
The Gotcha! NAS can save money by providing data storage separate from the pc and without nthe cost of a dedicated pc.
A personal computer is not necessary on the LAN/cameras that are connected to NAS.

This is excellent for MAC OSX and Linux users, because although the Gotcha! cameras can not be controlled by MAC or Linux users, the video and audio virtual real time recording can be observed. By setting the Gotcha! cameras up for SMTP, FTP, or where supported (Gotcha! IR outside Bullet using external alarm input) using the external alarm or motion detection function of the camera, the persons monitoring will receive an email with attached images so that false alarms and remote video verification can easily be made. The recording will be made in two locations not just one and it will also allow Mac OSX users or Linux users to view the video recordings as they occur.
